Dave Quay, director

​Dave is an actor and filmmaker based in New York. This spring, he will appear with Michael Stuhlbarg in Tim Blake Nelson’s Socrates at the Public Theater. For over a decade, he has acted in television and film, and has also performed as a clown with NYC’s Big Apple Circus.

His original play, Until Next Time, a narrative clown piece, appeared by invitation at the NY Clown Festival, and he is the 2014 recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund Award. His training includes an extended apprenticeship under his mentor and friend, the late Bob Clark
(
A Christmas Story, Murder by Decree).

Selected screen credits include The Unsilent Picture (opposite Bill Irwin), “House of Cards” (Netflix), “Looming Tower” (Hulu), “Bull” (CBS), “Gotham” (FOX), “Blindspot” (NBC), “Royal Pains” (USA), “Drop Dead Diva” (Lifetime).

He holds an MFA from NYU Graduate Acting.

Soopum Sohn, cinematographer

​Award-winning cinematographer Soopum Sohn's films have appeared at the Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival.

His feature film, Make Yourself at Home, premiered as a Gala Presentation at the 2008 Busan International Film Festival. Other films include Island to Island (winner, 2002 Student Academy Award), Fish in the Sea Is Not Thirsty (official selection, 2002 Cannes Film Festival), and SA-KWA (dir: Yi-Kwan Kang) (winner, International Critics Award, 2005 Toronto International Film Festival).

He holds MFA degrees from the American Film Institute (cinematography) and New York University (film directing).

Michael Cuomo, producer

​Michael produced the dramatic feature Light of the Moon, which premiered at the 2017 SXSW International Film Festival, winning the audience choice award.

With executive producer Iain Smith (Wanted, Children of Men, The Fountain), Michael produced and starred in the critically acclaimed feature film Happy New Year (dir: K. Lorrel Manning). It premiered at the SXSW and Hamptons International Film Festivals, then toured 16 international film festivals, winning 6 awards, before a theatrical run in New York. 

Michael also mentors inner city high school students through the Ghetto Film School’s industry outreach program.
